About Lois

“I was in my mid-thirties before I had a spiritual awakening. My entire adult life up to then had been focused upon clawing my way out of poverty to become ‘successful.’ I’d accomplished things that amazed me, yet I found that little of what I had worked so hard to achieve was even marginally as fulfilling as I had expected. Only my children, my garden and my art truly fulfilled me. Something deeply important was missing from my life. This dark night of the soul culminated in a spiritual awakening which propelled me onto an entirely new path, first healing myself and then helping others do the same. In that process I realized I was not only here to heal people, but to midwife other healers as well. And so I began to impart what I had learned. I still do that, and I consider the the books I write to be primarily teaching tools.” ~ Lois J. Wetzel, MFA

I have authored books about the Akashic Records, spirituality, metaphysics, and my ongoing, extremely unusual mystical experiences, including frequent experiences of contact from extra-dimensional beings of all kinds. From such contact I was honored to be asked to bring to the planet the very powerful EDINA Energy Medicine, via 12th density Starbeings from Sirius-B. I also authored a book on this subject which was published in 2013 entitled EDINA: Energy Medicine from the Stars! This book won a Book Excellence Award in 2019, winning the Category Prize for Alternative Medicine.  My books have earned several other book awards as well.

Besides being the founder of  EDINA Energy Medicine, I also practice and teach this modality.

At this time, I still do readings from the Akashic Records for clients, as well as intuitive counseling and remote healing sessions. i have a virtual learning center here at my primary website, where you can find meditations and online classes. I am considered to be one of the world’s experts in past life readings, and I work with people all over the globe in this capacity. You can sign up for the free newsletter and be kept abreast of my free teachings, interesting spiritual information, notices of new books and classes, appearances and my other offerings. I  share fascinating information about five times a month in the newsletter as I come across it or feel inspired to write something myself. There is also a lovely blog:  Akashic Records Readings where I share material about the subject of reincarnation as well as some recent past life readings I have done…with each client’s permission, of course.

THE SHOP: Hot Pink Lotus started as a “brick and mortar” shop in March of 1998. This was a metaphysical shop and bookstore, plus a  teaching and healing center. It existed for about 8 years in that form, and then it morphed into my doing readings, teaching and healing sessions from an office building – and eventually it morphed into my doing long-distance work. Early on Hot Pink Lotus became my firmly established brand, so I have kept the website. Why call my business Hot Pink Lotus? The lotus is the symbol of higher consciousness in Hinduism and Buddhism. Hot pink (magenta) is a very high vibration color, and one of my favorites!

I began practicing Reiki in 1986 and became a Reiki Master in 1988 at the age of 40. I was one of the first Reiki Masters in Texas. Since then I have studied Psychic Awareness with Richard “Dick” Sutphen, shamanism and soul retrieval with the then Director of Education for the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, Sandra Ingermann, plus BodyTalk System and PaRama BodyTalk with the founder, John Veltheim.

I attended the Dallas Public Schools until the age of 15, briefly attended South Oak Cliff High and then finished at R. L. Turner High School in Carrollton, Texas.  I earned a BA in Art Education from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas, as well as a Master of Fine Arts degree in painting and drawing. About 20 years later, I completed extensive post-graduate studies in the Clinical Psychology Program at the University of Houston Clear Lake, with an emphasis on art therapy. I am a member of Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology.
